Welcome to Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura is the essence of the Canary Islands in its purest and wildest form. It is an island of contrasts, where the aridity of its volcanic landscape mingles with the deep blue of the Atlantic. Unlike other more crowded islands, it has managed to preserve an authentic and tranquil character, with responsible tourism development concentrated in areas like Corralejo and Costa Calma, leaving much of its territory in an almost untouched state.

Its geography is dominated by over 150 kilometers of white and golden sand beaches. In the north, the Corralejo dunes merge with the sea in shallow, turquoise waters. In the south, Sotavento beach, on the Jandía peninsula, is a paradise for windsurfers and kitesurfers thanks to its shallow waters and consistent winds. The interior, a fascinating desert of lava fields and volcanic cones, completes a landscape of austere and powerful beauty.

The island's rhythm is dictated by the sun and the wind. Days are filled with water sports, strolls through fishing villages like El Cotillo, and hikes in the Dunes Natural Park. At sunset, life moves to the seafront promenades and terraces, where you can enjoy fresh fish and Majorero cheese. It's a destination that appeals equally to families, couples, and adventurers seeking nature, sport, and genuine tranquility.

Playa de Cofete

1 / 3

Entallada Lighthouse

2 / 3

Entallada Lighthouse

The Entallada Lighthouse is a unique lighthouse built in the mid-20th century, perched atop imposing cliffs more than 200 meters above sea level. Its architecture, unique in the Canary Islands, blends traditional island elements with a clear North African influence, reminiscent of a fortress or minaret. This stone-clad structure, with its straight lines and geometric volumes, not only serves a vital function for navigation but has also become an exceptional viewpoint. From its privileged position, spectacular panoramic views unfold across the Atlantic Ocean and the rugged east coast of Fuerteventura. The place exudes a sense of peace and grandeur, where the constant wind and the sound of the sea are the only protagonists. It is a perfect spot to contemplate unforgettable sunsets and feel the raw power of the Fuerteventura landscape.

Calderón Hondo

3 / 3

Calderón Hondo

Calderón Hondo is an exceptionally well-preserved volcanic crater, one of the most accessible and impressive on the island. A moderately difficult trail leads you to its rim, where a geological spectacle awaits. From the summit, the view opens up to the deep volcanic cone, a natural amphitheater of ochre and reddish hues. Beyond, the landscape of the island's north unfolds in a mosaic of hills, cultivated fields, and the Atlantic Ocean on the horizon. It's a perfect place to understand the creative power of volcanoes and enjoy a revitalizing hike in an environment of great beauty and serenity.
